Katie & Kyle...a sweet stroll through country Colorado {Boulder Engagement Photography}

Each blog updating event becomes more and more frustrating than necessary for us. We sit down with the intent to share recent work that we think is pretty cool, then blogger ruins everything. The alignment of the photos and text is sometimes off. The size of the images are confined to a small strip of space. We apologize for our blog looking a little helter skelter. But, you'll be happy to know we are completely revamping our blog in the next month and switching to Wordpress. What does this mean exactly? Larger images, easier to create/edit new posts, and the ability to use really dynamic Wordpress templates that can be fully customized (don't worry, we are hiring a professional to do this!) We cannot wait to share with you the new design!

Oops! Enough with the griping. I'm done, I promise.

Introducing Katie & Kyle! They are engaged and plan on marrying in 2012 but wanted to get going on an engagement session before Kyle departs to Afghanistan in May for military duty. We feel honored to have done this for them. And guess what! They are high school sweethearts (love that!) These two were so fun to work with and we hope their quiet, playful love resonates throughout the following images... P.S.- Colorado's beauty never ceases to fail us. We fully recognize and appreciate the 300 days of sunshine. :) Love, like sunshine, warms every moment...brightens every day.

You can't touch love, but you can feel the sweetness that it pours into everything. -Annie Sullivan

Holiday Photos {Ohio Family Photographers}

Hello everyone! Happy New Year!! I don't know about you but I'm so excited for 2011. So many new things for us and we can't wait to share. But you'll have to wait:)

While I was back in Ohio for Thanksgiving Chelsey and Kim got ahold of me to do some family photos of them with their siblings. Perfect present for their parents. I was so excited to photograph them. It was so much fun. Cold but fun:) I have to get my brothers to do this but that's like pulling teeth. One day.

How cute are Kim and her sisters??

And Chels with her siblings...

I love that Mitchell is the only boy. And the youngest. :) He was such a good sport during the whole shoot.

Holiday photos new tag line is: making moms cry one present at a time. Both Chelsey and Kim's moms teared up after receiving the framed photos. Is it wrong to get so much satisfaction from hearing that? :) Keep that in mind and call us for Mothers Day. We'll set up some tear-inducing photos for you, too.

Here's to 2011 and all the great things to come!

Karina & Brett in Central Park {New York City photographers}

Hello ya'll!

Hope your holiday season is hustlin and bustlin, but in a good way. Remember to breathe deep, have patience with the crazy crowds and enjoy your friends & family! This is such a magical time of year. There's nothing like it.

So this post isn't necessarily related to Christmas, but what the heck, it's a really beautiful session from Central Park in New York City. We had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful, so-in-love couple in one of the most renown parks in the nation, and we relished every minute of it! As I skimmed through the photos, I imagined the two dancing slowing in the park to a classic tune by Billie Holiday or Ella Fitzgerald. Alas, I deemed it appropriate to make a slideshow video out of our favorite images.

Hope you enjoy the vid! And MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all :)

As we reflect on this past year of 2010, we are reminded of how blessed we really are with wonderful clients, friends, and family. We're reminded to take things in stride, enjoy the moment and to do the best with what God has given us. We thank you for your support and look forward to a bright 2011.

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

Annie, Katie, & Josh {Virginia Children Photography}

Each year, as Thanksgiving approaches, I'm reminded of how special familial bonds are. This is the second year that I've been invited into the Bellows' home in Virginia and had the chance to photograph their beautiful children, Annie, Katie, and Josh. I am loving this tradition! It's pretty cool to be able to document how these kids have grown and progressed over just one year.

Can't wait to share more of this family! Remember to hold your loved ones tightly this year. You can never give out too much xoxo, right? :)

Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life!

Merry Christmas!
Lots of love & joy to you and your family,

Megan & Matt engaged! {Denver Engagement Photography}

One of Megan & Matt's first dates was at Cheesman Park, wandering around getting to know each other. (romantic despite the history of the park:)) They decided it would be the perfect place for their engagement photos. We couldn't agree more. Kimothy and I had never been to Cheesman Park (love new locations!) and it holds a lot of meaning for them. Perfect. We arrived to tons of construction, dirt and orange fencing EVERYWHERE. Not so perfect. But that didn't get us down. Megan & Matt are so cute and so in love it's hard not to get some beautiful, fun photos of them. Can't wait to photograph their wedding next year!

'Tis the Season to give the gift of Memories

Hello friends!

Just thought we'd start to share some of the really cool ways to showcase your favorite photos. There are SO many more creative ways to display your memories apart from the standard framed print! Although, we still love the tradition of hanging wall prints but we are going to start offering some really fun, unique frames and fine art prints that you can't get in stores (stay tuned for that post soon! we are reeeeally excited about it).

We offer canvas gallery prints for our clients that are fully customizable and a lot more dramatic and dimensional than merely hanging a print.

You can get really creative with the sizes of these canvases and you can even order long, slim panoramic canvases where a single image is broken up into a few separate canvases that are hung in a row on your wall.

Check out a recent order from a client of their favorite engagement session image! Love the beautiful, fall colors in this one. This canvas is a 16" x 20" size. It's probably my best size recommendation if you're looking for a piece that is not too large yet still very substantial and dramatic.

Consider skipping out on a cookie cutter gift for your recently engaged/married friend this holiday season and surprise them with a custom canvas from their wedding or engagement photos! Contact us at info@lovenjoyphotography.com for pricing and options. O ya, this is me telling you it's okay to gift yourself one of these bad boys for Christmas!

We hope that you have a wonderful holiday season surrounded by your loved ones this year! Thank you for letting us find joy in documenting your love. We hope you look upon the images we've created for you as a reminder of how blessed you really are. At the end of the day, that's what it's all about.

xoxo,
Kimothy & Tess

Brittany & Jeff engaged! {Denver Engagement Photography}

Are you ready for another autumn in Colorado engagement shoot?? Yeah? I thought you'd say that:) Meet Brittany & Jeff. They are getting married in April and we couldn't be more excited for their wedding. Have we mentioned that we love our clients? Absolutely the sweetest. For example, during the Thanksgiving holiday, we received an extra special email from Brittany & Jeff that reminded us of how lucky we are to be working with genuinely awesome people...

The email from Britt and Jeff read:

Hey guys we just wanted to send you an email saying thank you so much for all the work you put into our engagement photos and our save the dates. The save the dates were a HUGE success in the family and everyone loved them and thought the photos were the best photography they have seen (even the ones who got married, wished they had you guys) and we thought since its the week of thanksgiving, we should express our gratitude to you both, what you do really is amazing! and can't wait till April and the wedding. Thanks again!!! :) :)

Britt and Jeff

Brittany and I had been going back and forth trying to find the perfect location for her engagement session. She wanted somewhere with mountains, golden leaves and maybe some water. I'm sure there are thousands of these places in Colorado but we were hoping to keep it near Denver. Then I remembered Julie & JC's engagement shoot. Problem solved! The park looks so much different in the fall. It was gorgeous. See for yourself.... :)

Here's Jeff contemplating how awesome his wedding photos will be. Okay maybe his future with the lovely Brittany. Or both? :)

We ended with matching Rockies shirts. Too bad they didn't go further this year but there's always next year! (spoken like a true Cleveland fan at heart). I do the Tulo chant in my head whenever I see this pic:)

Brittany & Jeff, we will see you in April!
