Baby Ila ::6 month:: baby photos {Denver Children Photography}

Meet Miss Ila Fay. Cutest baby name ever, right? She was born about 6 months ago and I was finally able to meet her. I've been friends with her Mama since middle school and and she now lives in Wyoming. Colorado is much closer than Ohio, thankfully. Last time I saw Morgan she was 3 months preggo and now she has the most adorable baby girl. We played dress up with Ila. So much fun! I should have taken a photo of Ila's closet. It is beyond impressive. Extremely organized with clothes and accessories galore.
I just love the faces she makes. I miss her already :(
These shoes and toy camera were Morgan's when she was a baby.....
....and the cute little hoodie :)

She was over taking photos :)

Annie, Katie, & Josh {Virginia Children Photography}

Each year, as Thanksgiving approaches, I'm reminded of how special familial bonds are. This is the second year that I've been invited into the Bellows' home in Virginia and had the chance to photograph their beautiful children, Annie, Katie, and Josh. I am loving this tradition! It's pretty cool to be able to document how these kids have grown and progressed over just one year.

Can't wait to share more of this family! Remember to hold your loved ones tightly this year. You can never give out too much xoxo, right? :)

Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life!

Merry Christmas!
Lots of love & joy to you and your family,

The Pretzler Family {Denver Family Photography}

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing an adorable family in one of my favorite towns in Colorado thus far, Evergreen, CO. Evergreen is a small, spread out, quiet mountain town where families build their homes along the stretches of mountainside. It is so picturesque! There's a lake at the center of the town towards all the shops/restaurants where they have different seasonal community events including ice skating during the holidays. I'm hoping we can photograph people skating along that lake with the mountain backdrop very soon! (hint hint: photo shoot contest idea??? :))

I met this particular family from Evergreen, The Pretzlers, while photographing there house so they could eventually put it on the market for sale. The house is a gorgeous Tuscany style home that sits atop a 35 acre ranch, snowcapped views, ponds, streams, and rolling hills. (I'm still saving my pennies so maybe one day I could make them an offer lol). Anyhoo, their home is the perfect location for a Colorado outdoor shoot and they were so gracious to invite me back to their place for a family shoot while there were still some golden Aspen leaves showing!

Hope these photos entice you to visit beautiful Evergreen. And book a family shoot! I would have loved to do something fun like this with my family growing up! I love how you can understand the big sister-little brother relationship through some of these. Ahhh I always remember being so annoyed by my little brothers when we were young, but looking back, life would definitely not have been as FUN without them!

Introducing The Pretzler Family...

Sydney + Dad + Park = pure JOY! {Children Photographers}

My cousin Mike contacted me out of the blue this past summer about photographing his daughter Sydney, who was turning 5 yrs old. Our family is a little distant on that side so I had never actually met Mike before and was thrilled that he reached out to me and had been following our work here at LnJ. While we were in Ohio for weddings, we arranged to meet and if weather permitted, include a photo shoot during the get together! Weather did not permit the first trip to OH. But I got the opportunity to meet a great man who I'm very regretful for just meeting now after all these years! AND his daughter is a photographer's dream. Bubbly, outgoing, charismatic and cute as a button, with fiery red hair and clear blue eyes. We kept saying we are going to submit her pics to Gap kids or United Colors of Benetton. Go ahead, click on the link to their site and tell me you don't agree. She'd be a PERFECT fit. I'm callin them up!! Not only was she the perfect little model (when Ohio finally smiled upon us on a different day and allowed us to take some lovely photos), she's also a little lady I'm proud to call my cousin! I only wish I had the Flip video on me to record her various ideas for poses. It was pretty hilarious and I hope you all can see what a fun kid she is through these photos. It's also very apparent how precious and unrelenting of a bond these two have as father-daughter. It was a JOY to witness.

Thank you for letting me document your fifth year in life Syd! And thank you Mike for going out on a limb and reaching out to a long lost cousin! Can't wait to photograph you guys again!
